SMA runs a Discord community and the SMA bot, which connect video editors and clippers ("editors") with record labels and artists ("labels"). Labels fund campaigns built around one TikTok sound. Editors post edits that use that sound and are paid per video or per 1,000 views. By joining the SMA Discord server or using the SMA bot, you agree to these terms.

1. Who can use SMA

SMA has no age limit of its own, but you must meet the minimum age for TikTok and for Discord where you live.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and handle your payouts.
Each person may have one editor profile and link one TikTok account, which must be their own.

2. Your tier and rate

When you sign in with TikTok, the SMA bot reads your public stats, as described in the Privacy Policy, and gives you a tier: Rookie, Pro, Elite or Partner. Each tier has a pay multiplier.
Where your viewers live sets a second multiplier, the country factor. You provide it by uploading a screenshot of your TikTok Analytics viewer locations. Staff may check it before it applies.
Your rate for a campaign is the campaign's base rate times your tier multiplier times your country factor.
SMA re-checks your stats and country factor regularly, at least every 30 days. Your tier and factor can go up or down. Changes apply to videos you submit afterwards.

3. Campaigns

Each campaign post shows its sound, rate, caps, dates and brief. Those campaign details apply to your videos for that campaign.
A video counts only if it uses the campaign's sound, was posted from your linked TikTok account after you joined the campaign, and stays public until it has been paid.
Campaign budgets are fixed. When a budget runs out, the campaign closes. If the final view counts would go over the budget, the excess is cut pro rata across the videos still being tracked.

4. Earnings and payouts

Views are counted for 14 days after a video is posted. Earnings are then held for 7 days for fraud checks.
Cleared earnings are paid weekly by PayPal or crypto once your balance reaches $20. Smaller balances carry over.
All amounts are in US dollars. You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings.

5. Labels

Labels prepay each campaign's budget. SMA adds a 7% platform fee on top.
By creating a campaign, a label confirms that it has the right to promote the sound.
When a campaign closes, any unspent budget is refunded or moved to the label's next campaign, as the label chooses.

6. Fair play

Do not buy views, use bots or fake engagement in any other way.
Do not upload edited analytics screenshots, or anyone else's.
Do not submit videos that you did not post from your own linked account.
Follow TikTok's and Discord's own terms and community guidelines.

If you break these rules, SMA may void affected earnings, record a strike, or remove you from SMA. Three confirmed strikes remove an editor.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of your videos. You allow SMA and the campaign's label to link to and show the videos you submit, together with their view counts, in campaign reports.

8. Leaving SMA

You can leave at any time. /delete-my-data in Discord deletes your data, as described in the Privacy Policy. SMA may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms. Cleared earnings are still paid unless they come from fraud.

9. No guarantees

SMA is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that campaigns will be available or that you will earn any set amount. To the extent the law allows, SMA is not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by TikTok, Discord or payment providers.

10. Not affiliated with TikTok or Discord

SMA is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok or Discord.

11. Changes

When these terms change, we update this page and announce it in the SMA Discord. If you keep using SMA after a change, the new terms apply.
